Young Summit Student Ministry is all about teaching students the gospel and how to live with a biblical worldview in this world that teaches so many different views. We hope to partner with parents and help their teenagers understand the gospel and be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Young Summit is for grades 6-12.
Young Summit meets at Summit Church every Wednesday in our main sanctuary.
Students hang out with friends, enjoy good food, take part in worship, and hear the gospel every week at Young Summit.
Pastor Lannie Sechrest leads a great team of background-checked adults who love young people and help disciple them.
Pastor Lannie’s family moved to Homestead in 1983, from Ohio. He graduated in 1999 from Homestead Senior High School not long after giving his life to Christ. He began serving in ministry locally soon after. He married his wife Sara in 2008. He has served in ministry for over 20 years in pastoral ministry. In addition, he is a local Christian school teacher. He was ordained in 2016. Pastor Lannie is currently serving our Student Pastor.
