Alex was raised in Homestead, FL. In 2006 he married his wife, Laura Pecina, when they were both 20 years old. They have three kids together; Isabella, Mikaela, and Gabriella. Alex graduated from Florida International University with a degree in communications. He has been serving as a pastor at Summit Church since it launched in 2015. He hopes to see Summit plant other churches and, one day, have her own building where more people can be impacted with the Gospel of Jesus.
Pastor Lannie’s family moved to Homestead in 1983, from Ohio. He graduated in 1999 from Homestead Senior High School not long after giving his life to Christ. He began serving in ministry locally soon after. He married his wife Sara in 2008. He has served in ministry for over 20 years in pastoral ministry. In addition, he is a local Christian school teacher. He was ordained in 2016. Pastor Lannie is currently serving our Student Pastor.
Pastor Jonathan Hays, a native Floridian born in Homestead, is happily married to Wendy Hays, and they have two children, Ethan and Emily. Despite not being raised in the church, Jonathan embraced his faith later in life and was baptized soon after.
In 2018, the Hays family became members of Summit Church, actively engaging in the mission ministry. Jonathan’s dedication to the church was evident when he was ordained as a Deacon in 2020, followed by his ordination as an Elder in 2022.
In his professional life, Jonathan serves as an education consultant for a technology company, a role that allows him the flexibility to work primarily from home or travel across the United States. Despite his demanding career, Jonathan’s paramount focus outside of the church remains his family
