Local Missions

Jesus said, ”’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Mathew 22:37-39

We believe that the greatest aspect of loving our neighbors as ourselves is to see them become disciples of Jesus Christ. This is the goal and primary emphasis of our local mission efforts.

Trees for Hope

Trees for Hope is a ministry of Summit Church that raises funds for disaster relief and local missions. Each year freshly cut Christmas trees and wreaths are shipped directly from a farm in North Carolina to our lot set up at Heritage Market on Krome Avenue. This neighborhood tree lot opens on Thanksgiving day and closes when all the Christmas trees are gone! Funds raised have been used for disaster relief work in the Florida Keys, Florida Panhandle, Southwest FL, Louisiana, Kentucky, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Haiti. In addition to disaster relief, purchases from the tree lot have benefited mission projects for local non-profit organizations, schools, and homeless outreach.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased from us over the years, we are excited to see you again this November!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
