Missions

Local + Global

Jesus said, ”’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Mathew 22:37-39

Local Missions

Trees for Hope is a ministry of Summit Church that raises funds for disaster relief and local missions. Each year freshly cut Christmas trees and wreaths are shipped directly from a farm in North Carolina to our lot set up at Heritage Market on Krome Avenue. This neighborhood tree lot opens on Thanksgiving day and closes when all the Christmas trees are gone!

Funds raised have been used for disaster relief work in the Florida Keys, Florida Panhandle, Southwest FL, Louisiana, Kentucky, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and Haiti.

In addition to disaster relief, purchases from the tree lot have benefited mission projects for local non-profit organizations, schools, and homeless outreach.

Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Global Missions

At Summit Church we are committed to seeing the nations embrace the good news of Jesus Christ.

We have sent teams to Haiti, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Louisiana, Kentucky, Southwest Florida, Florida Keys, and the Florida panhandle after natural disasters to bring supplies, manual labor, and the hope of Jesus Christ.
